Otaniemi Microcluster Project

Otaniemi creates 40 – 70 new technology startups every year (Technopolis Ventures signed 47 inc agreements 2007). These startups are stuck in getting their business started and they don't have time to look around. Big corporations have difficulty catching 0 – 2 year old technology companies on their radar. Startups do not have good contacts with anchors nor research organizations – few contacts at best.

We will form 4 – 5 technology focused microclusters in Otaniemi with following characteristics in each. World class research in Otaniemi, min 5 research teams. A and B classified product focused startups, min 15 startups. 1 to 2 anchor companies to head the microcluster, the created Open Innovation platform.
