Otaniemi, located by the seaside in the city of Espoo, is just 8 kilometers (15 minutes by car) from the center of Helsinki and only 25 kilometers from the Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport.

Excellent public transportation takes you from Espoo to the center of Helsinki in less than 30 minutes. Furthermore, in 2012 a new metro line will connect Otaniemi with all of Helsinki.

Otaniemi is home to over 800 companies employing 16,000 people. Anywhere between 60 to 80 new hi-tech companies are started every year. Otaniemi receives over 250 patents each year.
