yriti.jpgHelsinki Metropolitan Entrepreneurship Academy is starting it's lecture series for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurially minded people with Taneli Tikka speaking at Entrepreneur Tuesday tomorrow at Active Life Village to hundreds of students and entrepreneurs about the entrepreneurial way of life. The consept of the Entrepreneur Tuesday was brought to Finland from Cambridge, where CfeL has been successfully running the lecture series for years.

"There is a real spirit of entrepreneurship in Cambridge and we wanted to bring it to Finland", said the Academy's project manager Sani Leino.

The Helsinki Metropolitan Entrepreneurship Academy is a essentially free Academy for entrepreneurship for all the University students and University of Applied Science students in the greater metropolitan area of Helsinki. Even though the academy's name says Helsinki, much of the action is based in Otaniemi.

"Otaniemi is Finland's Cambridge or Stanford - so we decided to locate the events where the people were, not the name or the buildings", Sani Leino explained.

The Entrepreneur Tuesday will run form the 27th of January every second tuesday at Active Life Village (Metsänpojankuja 3, 02130 Espoo). Speakers will include such entrepreneurs as Taneli Tikka, Alan Barrell, Kevin R. Smith, Helene Auramo and Jari Parantainen.
